Here's one for globalization..
Just returned from watching the Inside Man . Its opening and closing credits are actually set to the Bollywood tune of Chaiyya Chaiyya from Dil Se. I was quite pleasantly surprised !!
His tunes being played in a small town theatre in the United States - AR Rahman has truly arrived!!

De nada! (And there is the extent of my Spanish language skills) ;o)
Haven't made my decision yet. I'm planning to go to both Admitted Students weekends in two weeks before making my choice.

Hey girl, missed you too! :-) Yup, Bollywood is making its presence more and more known in Hollywood. They described the USA as a "melting pot" in history books, and I think it's so true. Over time, I can see the US adopting all cultures into one that I've always thought the entire country is going to be "brown" one day. "Brown" meaning all cultures, races, and ethnic groups integrated together into one big mush - white skinned, yellow skinned, red, black, etc... all mixed into one - brown. :-)

glad to know you found some amusement in my misery :). i'm going with a COS. seems to be the safer, simpler option. the only downside is that after my visa is approved, i'll have to leave the country at some point to get it stamped.

hello,
i noticed in a comment that you left on MJ's blog, that your i-20 could not be modified to meet the 30 day window for entry into the US. is this something specific to your case, i.e. the school got the date wrong? i'm asking because i am going back to india as well and have already booked my tickets, but won't start on the i-20 process until i leave the country.
thanks,
blr_girl

blr_girl,
In my case, I booked my tix to India before I even got my admit and hence didnt know wht my start date as per I20 would be. Even then, I thought I would have some flexibility as regards changing the dates, but apparently Yale does not allow that and I do not have any option but to rearrange my tickets..
i am not sure if this answers ur question..:)
